Sobra is tiny and suitable for people wanting an exceptionally quiet holiday, or who have a car or bike to get about & see more of Mljet. It has two restaurants and a sandwich shop and a very small mini mart with extremely limited stock (eg no eggs or hard cheese the week we were there). The restaurants are fine- one is predominantly pizzas and the other has a good choice. Small place and port on island of Mljet.
Small place and port on island of Mljet. You have three restaurants, two of them are mainly fish restaurants and the third is pizzeria and caffe. In the port you have rent a car. It is very well connected to other parts of the island, by state road. This place is perfect as a starting point for exploration of the island.DDarkoCroatia - 10Scored 10

Sobra is really quiet but so is the whole island as there are only three really proper villages. The village is lovely with a pretty harbour and some bars and restautants and a small supermarket. to get around the island you need a car.

Small and quite village at 2 km from the ferry port, situated in a nice golf. There are 3 restaurants - that could improve their menu - to focus more on traditional food. People are nice and helpful. There is an office of rent a car in the ferry port - if you want to visit the island (I could recommend National Parc Mljet and sand beaches in Saplunara) An ideal place if you want to be far from the civilization!

A beautiful green island set in a turquoise blue sea. Ideal for yachts and boats. The national park is ideal for walking and cycling. The island isn’t busy in June. Good service by car ferry or catamaran. If you arrive by catamaran you can hire a car on the island. Check out the restaurants as some are better than others and it is quite expensive. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
