Villa Tropica was selected to be part of a BBC series about the most special gardens on the Adriatic coast. We had the honor of hosting the legendary British gardener Monty Don, who did not hide his enthusiasm for the beauty of the garden, as did the entire television crew while filming the footage for the show. The positive and inspiring energy of the garden was experienced sitting and enjoying on the terrace after a busy day. If you want to enjoy in sheltered and private semi tropical garden, listen sounds of nature like crickets, frogs, wild birds and parrots, cool in swimming pool near cactus garden while watching mountain tops or sea and relaxing near the garden pond with beautiful water lilies and goldfishes our house is right place for you. In the garden, there are over 200 types of plants from all over the world, which is why the garden has been awarded several times for its design and beauty. If you are a lover of plants and nature, the time spent in our house will complement the wonderful experiences you will have in Croatia.
We are couple Ante and Katarina, above all nature lovers and we would like to bring closer to you our nature and Mediterranean style of living. For years, we are growing in our garden tropical and subtropical plants and we travel along the Adriatic coast looking for beautiful gardens and plants. Ante is vice-president of Croatian palm society and as an amateur ornithologist, bird ringer and free diver. He visit interesting places where he also meet many wild animals. Sometimes he works as a tour guide for bird watching and others nature activities. Katarina gives an artistic touch to the entire space.
For those ones who love to spend their vacation more active near our property you can find nice places for birdwatching, spearfishing, diving, swimming in the sea, rock climbing, hiking, nice trails for mountain bike, nice restaurants, historical places and places for night life.
