If you are staying in the house, you have access to free Wi-Fi. There is no Wi-Fi in the Shepherds Huts! Our big garden has a trampoline and a playground to keep the kids entertained. Each unit has an outdoor seating area and a firepit. 5-bedroom Guesthouse: You have the hole house to yourself. 4 bedrooms with each a double bed (one of it has an ensuite bathroom), two downstairs, two upstairs. 1 bedroom with two double beds upstairs. 2 single sofa beds on the landing upstairs. 2 bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a bathtub) both downstairs, there is a toilet and a little shower room upstairs. 2 fully equipped kitchens (the bigger one being downstairs with a big dining table adjoined). Big living room downstairs and smaller living room upstairs. There are boardgames and books for rainy days. 3-bedroom Apartment: You have a part of the house to yourself. 2 bedrooms with each a double bed (one having an ensuite bathroom) downstairs. 1 bedroom with two double beds upstairs. 2 single sofa beds on the landing upstairs. 2 bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a bathtub) both downstairs. 1 fully equipped kitchen with a big dining table adjoined. Big living room equipped with books and boardgames for rainy days. Shepherd’s Hut: Each Hut has a double bed, bathroom (with shower), small kitchenette. Every Hut has outdoor seating and a firepit. Our dome is a shared recreation room for rainy days.
Fabienne and Roland Lamprecht, born and raised in Basel, Switzerland, with the two boys Kolja and Youri are proud to accomodate you since 2019. Ballyroe offers visitors of West Cork a place to stay. We operate all year round and have two apartments in a seperate cottage and three very unique Shepherd's huts. As Ballyroe is also our familyhome, we are around to answer any questions you may have. In addition to the accomodation, we use the property to host different events, e.g. "be a candlemaker" around Christmas.
We are located just two miles/three kilometers outside of Leap (off the N71) in a rural setting. You can take a stroll to the beautiful Corran Lake just a few minutes from us. Ballyroe is within four miles/six kilometers of some of West Cork's premier coastal villages including Glandore and Union Hall, whilst the beaches at Rosscarbery and the vibrant towns of Skibbereen and Clonakilty are both within a twenty minute drive of this special place.
