Location was great....could not have been better. Most staff were very pleasant. Music in downstairs bar was great. Easy checkin and checkout. Bed was comfortable. No A/C but temperature was fine during early July. We loved Kinsale but would look for another hotel on our return visit. If you are looking for a "Charming Irish Inn" experience, you will not find it here.

There was no breakfast. Instant coffee and cups was the only breakfast things. The location was reasonably close to downtown. Great coffee shop down the road.

The Glen Quarter was one of the very best accommodations we had while on our trip. The rooms are spotless, the beds were beyond comfortable and the location was perfect! The room was newly decorated with modern touches and had everything you could need for a comfortable stay, including robes and slippers. We had a late check in due to last minute travel changes and the staff were accommodating and helpful. It’s also in downtown Kinsale within walking distance of everything.
I wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back again!

A pleasant little town, with a lot of history. Quaint and winding streets, interesting independent shops and lots of choice among a number of well-regarded restaurants. Charles Fort on the outskirts of the town is well worth a visit.
Two excellent dinners: the first at Fishy Fishy, and the second at Max's - both highly recommended!

A nice enough little place but exceptionally busy with Tourists, often from Cruise Ships. Parking was a nightmare and Toilets are like Hens Teeth. One hour here is more than enough. I can't really recommend it for anything except wasting a bit of time.

Kinsale is a cute little town. Beware. Not easy to drive in. Good place to spend a few days.We used it as a base for going to Mizen head, Baltimore and other places south of Cork.
Also note, and this is very common in Ireland, don't get up a the crack of dawn and expect to find a place open for breakfast. A few opened at 8 but more often opened at 9 and even 10. Earlier than 9 were few and far between. Those that are tend to be crowded for obvious reasons.

It was disastrous, my wife decided to go down the town for a walk around as she was walking she noticed foreigners watching her every move and they then started to pair up and follow her, she felt so threatened that she had to go into spar shop and wait for me to collect her. Would never visit there again.
John is an absolute gent. I can't speak more highly of him. His bnb is beautiful. This was the best bnb we have stayed in. The room was lovely, good power from the shower, bed was comfy and beautiful views. The breakfast was excellent. You wouldn't get it as good in a hotel who have all turned to buffets. The breakfast here is fresh, cooked to order. The walk to town is lovely, quiet country road into the heart of kinsale, takes maybe 15 or 20 minutes. Would 100% recommend.
Spacious bedroom with super king bed and plenty of comfy pillows! Breakfast was grand- excellent kippers! Staff were super friendly and helped us immensely, when we had a minor accident with a wheel. They were great with our small dog, and offered advice about walks etc Hotel has easy parking and is a short distance to the town.
The breakfast was top class and served. Our room was v spacious and spotlessly clean. Everything was explained covid wise when we checked in and we felt v safe there. It was v well done. If we needed anything extra, which we didn't, we were told not to hesitate to ask. As its a small hotel it was v personable which was lovely.
The hotel is nice, could do with a maintenance overhaul…probably impact of covid and difficulty in getting staff. Food menu was limited. Elements of service missing, probably not enough training given to young inexperienced staff who are doing their best.
The hotel is a delightful oasis of elegance and comfort in the centre of Kinsale. modern spacious bathrooms. plush comfortable beds. The best breakfasts ever.
