Jaipur is a beutiful city with many potholes in the heart of the city, which many dont expect as you enter the city with many expectations. Overcrowding of tourist in many tourist destination with narrow roads and compounded by pathetic road conditions makes it very difficult to enjoy the whole experience. It just like become overcoming traffic jams and trying to reach from point A to Point B.

It's a great historic city. Lot of places to visit.
It's a great historic city. Lot of places to visit. Entry tickets of few places are on the higher side. However, being an old city, roads are narrow and dirty at places. Two full day trip is good enough to visit all the places of importance. One extra day might make the trip more comfortable.

Lovely city with historical monuments.
Lovely city with historical monuments. It is a shopper’s paradise.
However the city is too dirty, there are heaps of garbage everywhere, even in the main market area- Babu bazar, Johri Bazar.
Light and sound show at Amber fort is a must watch.
Gaitore ki chatriyan is a lovely spot for insta reels.
The roads are dotted with several ‘mishthan bhandar’ that is sweet shops which sell good quality local snacks and sweets. A must visit.
There are several big shops in every part of the city and markets where one can buy quilts, sarees, and local handicrafts.Babu bazar is a good market for shopping if one is short of time. One can get everything - mojris, duppattas, sarees, earrings etc .

Jaipur has the potential to be very interesting, but it is the filthiest city I have ever visited. Clean up your act, Jaipur!! There is garbage in the streets EVERYWHERE. The first thing I smelled when I got off the train was sh*t. We were hassled constantly by street vendors, young men who claimed to be tour guides, beggars, and people who wanted to take their picture with us, and I never felt comfortable there. Also, every transaction turns into a negotiation, which is simply exhausting. Uber drivers make deals outside of the platform and you always feel like a target.
I do think that there is a lot to see in Jaipur, but it is not for the faint-hearted. On the one hand I wished I could have stayed longer and seen more, but on the other hand I could not wait to leave the place!
