Everything! This place is magical. As a foreigner, me and my partner have been having a lot of harsh situations with the people here and this hotel just came as a magic home for us. We were supposed to stay 1day in Jaipur but e ded up staying 4, JUST BECAUSE OF THE VED MAHAL. We had a great room on the 1st floor, super clean, great bed, i really though about living here for the whole month ahha Vi, Samir and the whole crew were always smiling with kindness in their eyes, not trying to scam or taking advantage of you. Super helpful. Abhijeet was always kind and prompt in oir orders in the restaurant..the food is extraordinary! Best food i had in India. The energy in service of these people should be valued by the owner. Im sorry to all the crew if I forgot or didn't ask for the name, but thank you all so much for your gentle and kind way of treating guests in a humane way. I would only stay here in Ved Mahal if I ever come back to Jaipur. You all made me feel in a sacred home after the chaos. Sukriya ❤️

Padma Haveli in Jaipur is an absolute gem. Staying here feels like stepping into a beautifully preserved piece of Rajasthan’s heritage while still enjoying all the comforts of a modern boutique hotel. The architecture, intricate detailing, and vibrant interiors reflect the soul of Jaipur, creating an atmosphere that is both enchanting and authentic. The staff are exceptional. They are warm, welcoming, and consistently go above and beyond to ensure guests feel at home. Their genuine hospitality makes every moment special. The rooms are spotless, thoughtfully furnished, and full of character, blending tradition with comfort effortlessly. Its location is ideal for exploring Jaipur, yet the haveli remains a calm retreat from the bustle of the city. From delicious food to serene courtyards, everything comes together to create a truly memorable stay. Padma Haveli is a place I would happily recommend to anyone wanting a refined and culturally rich Jaipur experience.

It’s such a well renovated old house, it beats all other havelis by a long shot. It’s absolutely beautiful. Staff are very helpful and supportive. It’s very close to the lake, the market, the city palace - at a walking distance. Many great rooftops close by.

I was amazed to discover that this region is surrounded by beautiful mountains and lakes. It completely changed my perception of a desert landscape. The lush greenery was breathtaking and made the place even more enjoyable. However, the cultural dance performance at Maharaja Kumbha Sangeet was disappointing. It appeared that the performers were elderly and seemed to be working for very low wages, which made us feel sorry for them rather than entertained.

We stayed at Bikaner for 4 days in second week of January .

We stayed at Bikaner for 4 days in second week of January . It was cold in the night and morning , around 3 degrees, but days are warm . Junagarh Fort is really worth visiting . The attached Museum is good for those who have time and interest in Rajasthani Royal culture .However , both Lalgarh Palace and Laxmi Vilas Palaces have been converted to hotel . The museum attached to Lalgarh Palace is not worth spending time. Those who are religious , Karni Mata Temple ( Rats are devotees) is a must visit . The best part was Bikaner Camel Festival where we enjoyed heritage walk in the old city , Bikaner Food Festival , Camel Decoration show , Camel Dance , Camel Race at National Research Centre (NRCC) and Folk Dance organised by tourism department in the evening. This is a must go place. We also enjoyed local nonveg food from Indra's. Auto rickshaw ( Rapido works) is the main mode of transport . Bus from the bus Station are available to go to Karni Mata Temple

Mandawa – A Living Open-Air Art Gallery of Rajasthan.

Mandawa – A Living Open-Air Art Gallery of Rajasthan. Mandawa is a hidden jewel in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, where every street seems to tell a story. Famous for its magnificent painted havelis, colourful frescoes, heritage architecture and warm Rajasthani hospitality, this small historic town offers travellers a beautiful glimpse into the real India. Walking through its old lanes feels like stepping back in time. For those searching for authentic Rajasthan beyond the usual tourist trail, Mandawa is a destination not to be missed. Come for the havelis, stay for the people, and leave with memories of a Rajasthan that still lives in its traditions.

Bundi is a bit of an under rated gem.

Bundi is a bit of an under rated gem. There’s an incredible stepwell here, and the murals in the palace are really interesting. With another day we would have gone up to the fort, to the other lake and the cenotaphs. Definitely worth adding to a longer Rajasthan itinerary.

Kumbhalgarh is the best place you can visit during February or March. Everything located amidst beautiful mountains. Fort is excellent but very steep, so may be senior citizens may not walk that much. But it's beautiful. We also enjoyed light and sound show at fort, which was mesmerizing. You should definitely not miss this. It revealed the history of the fort. We enjoyed our stay at Stone Wood Premier Resort, food and location were excellent. And definitely you cannot miss the village safari, the best part of Kumbhalgarh Trip. They show you a couple of temples, lake and fort. You can also enjoy a quiet and romantic stay in Kumbhalgarh.
