The Mastrojanni farm was born in 1975 in the area of Castelnuovo dell’Abate in the Poderi Loreto and San Pio, lookout hills on a fundamental connecting path, which have seen the flow of history from the Etruscans to the Romans. In the Middle Ages Podere San Pio increased its importance, becoming a fortified settlement to protect two of the most important communication routes of the time, the Via Francigena and the famous "via dei Papi". In 2011, the renovation of Podere San Pio began by the Illy Group, a complex architectural recovery that brought the ancient village to new life. The Relais Mastrojanni today offers its guests eleven welcoming and elegant rooms and suites, as well as a suggestive infinity pool where the view extends over the valley of Mount Amiata.

The Relais is located at the south-east end of the Montalcino territory: the enchanting majesty of the Amiata valley offers the visitor an unrepeatable panorama. Here nature and man's work merge in a unique landscape, arranged between the harmony of the rows of vineyards and the forests of holm and oaks. Inside the rooms the simple and austere elegance of the ancient walls merge with the modern and linear design, where bright environments, clean lines and soft colors characterize the style of the Relais. The offer is completed by the "Il Campaccio" restaurant and a relax area (opening soon).
