There is a great variety of experiences on offer which for us as an older group included canoeing, swimming at blue lagoons 3 and 4, enjoying the restaurants in the town particularly Happy Mango, walking up Nam Xay Viewpoint, tubing and paramotoring. We managed to fill in the 3 days with a walking, climbing hills and exploring some easily accessible caves. Many of the activities are designed for young people so apart from what we did, there is not much else to do. 2 days enough. Having been twice before, it is in a sad state, if it wasn't for the adventure stuff, the town would be no more. So incredibly sad to see the decline. Once a beautiful place, now , dirty, dusty, overflowing with litter and rubbish. However, we managed to take out the most of it with a great help of Andy - very friendly Khampaseuth Hotel manager. He organised the private tours for us to the view point, blue lagoons, caves and kayaking. The hotel itself isn’t in its best shape, but decent for the price you’re paying! The bathroom is also huge and all conditions are working well for the new high pressure water hotel built in 2023. The location is a 3-5 minute walk from the Vang Vieng main street. The staff are wonderful, knowledgeable, accommodating and always ready to give you the best guide to your visit to Vang Vieng. Breakfast is included in the room price.
