Beirut is one of my favorite cities. It is a vibrant city with an amazing cultural history. Walking in downtown, with the beautiful Souk filled to the brim with budget-friendly and high-end stores, while hearing the call to prayer from the neighboring Al-amin Mosque, lets you know you are in a unique city. Its mix of modernity and history makes it so interesting to walk around and discover. It has a great restaurant scene, if you are a foodie - even vegan, there are lots of options. The French colonization impacted its architecture - mixing Arabic and french styles. You get around with Taxis, everywhere has wifi, and you can surely find someone speaking French or English to guide you. Every now and then there are power outages for a few moments but they are fixed immediately. Breakfast was perfect, a lot of choice and very tasty. We felt very safe and very well taken care of.
