Everything! Kottawatta surprised us at every turn; from the cold facial towels upon entry to the poolside drinks to an amazing curry for dinner. As a plus, the room was extremely comfortable. Our safari organized through the hotel was exceptional!

The pillows were too soft. A room should have atleast one pillow which is not soft as some people need a bit of a harder pillow. In the restaurant i have comments. The tables should have side plates for every guests. There were no side plates. especially if someone stays full or half board side plates are necessary to keep cutlery and food remains etc . its also preferred to keep cloth serviettes for each guest in addition to tissues. For the Buffet Breakfast, its better to have potatoes mashed as well. Grilled , Mashed and Hashbrowns all three as choices will make a solid choice for guests. Grilled Tomatoes and Mushrooms were missing from the Breakfast buffer where as it forms an important part of such a breakfast. Sausages should be bigger like the brockfost type the thick type. Breakfast is the first meal of the day and guests will expect a good choice and a good breakfast

Only stayed one night. Arrived late to do the safari next day, but the cabins are spacious, very clean and cozy. The staff is very sweet and accommodating and I had been in previous touch with them regarding dinner options, etc.

Everything was amazing! 10/10 customer service they organized everything for us perfectly and we really appreciated how easy they made it! We did our safari with them and loved the private jeep just for us with a very reasonable price and included a very generous breakfast. We highly recommend the early safari and loved our guide Shanti. In fact all the staff at Kottawatta resort were amazing, all so professional and helpful! The restaurant was great and our favourite meal was the Sri Lankan vegetarian curry which included 6 separate traditional curries which were all delicious! Finally the hut itself was impeccably clean and the AC was lovely and the massive pool on the property was a welcome treat after a long day in the safari!

This resort is an absolute gem and a must stay if you are visiting Udawalawe National Park. For an affordable price you get to stay at a luxurious glamping style resort. The rooms were clean, beautifully designed and a delight. The food was amazing from the options available to the flavour. As well the service from the staff was some of the best I’ve ever received. The big highlight from this experience was the safari we booked with the resort. If you book the safari ask for Lasantha. He is the best driver and safari tour guide ever. He really went out of his way to create the best experience for us. He is top notch!!!

Beautiful hotel and beautiful room located in a luxury tent with an outside bathroom. The location is super close to the safari park and they even offer safaris on the spot, we had an amazing morning with our guide Chante/Shante! Also the pool is perfect to chill in the afternoon and they have a delicious restaurant directly at the hotel. Super recommended and amazing for the price !
