Lotus is such a beautiful place to stay as a solo traveller in Sri Lanka. Best family vibes, owners are so kind and Liam is an amazing surf coach. Great quiet location away from the train line, but still close walking distance to lots of surf breaks. The team is always willing to help with any planning or ideas, and they make you feel so safe (which is not always the case in Sri Lanka). I had some booking date changes and they were so accomodating in helping me with this, highly recommend for someone looking for a real Sri Lankan experience with cosy amenities.

The moment we stepped into Lotus we just felt home, with the super friendly staff always around and Liam and Helen as amazing hosts. The place is so beautiful, and calm away from the busy road of Ahangama and yet in close distance to all you need and surf nearby. There are spa treatments at the place, a place to do yoga, and a fridge for some breakfast things. We loved it and would go back next time we come to Ahangama.

The most wonderful place in Ahangama. Helen and Liam are the warmest and sweetest hosts you can ever imagine and they will make you feel home in a very relaxing environment, yet close to the best surf spots and beaches. I am definitely coming back. I cannot recommend this please enough.

Liam and Helen are very sweet and kind hosts. The stuff is amazing and make you feel like home. The dogs are very lovely. The Pool is huge and has a big shadow spot. Free water, coffee and tea.

Beautiful light house, surrounded by a beautiful lush garden, with a peaceful swimming pool. Great location, close to the beach and Ahangama center and Weligama. The owners H. and L. are so warm and welcoming and have a personal approach. They show sincere interest and they are happy to give you food and surf recommendations and they love to help you out. You feel that the way they treat their staff and their guests is pure. You can go for a lovely massage at the premisses or a healing session. You could stay here for a longer period as well. Highly recommend!!

Wir hatten hier tolle 10 Tage. Die Unterkunft ist einfach super ruhig gelegen und man kann richtig entspannen. Alle anderen Hotels hier in der Stadt liegen direkt an der großen und lauten Straße. Hier war es einfach perfekt. Ich würde immer wieder kommen :-) Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag sauber gemacht und alle waren sehr nett. Die Massagen hier können wir auch sehr empfehlen!
