Beautiful spot. Las Casitas Hotel is lovely--pleasant staff, comfortable, pretty and quiet. Nice restaurant. Great coffee. Interesting history. Wonderful old mission. Beautiful scenery. Lots to do nearby for recreation and sightseeing. You can walk the entire town in an hour. Nearby prehistoric rock art caves, (you will need a guide to see them) fishing, diving, kayaking. Avoid staying at Cuesta Real unless you want to pay way too much for the worst accommodations. Good food at Las Casitas and Los Equipales. Interesting historic Chinese store next to Las Casitas Hotel. Museum is in an old jail known as the "prison without doors." Because of the remote location prisoners were allowed to work outside the jail during the day, but had to return at 6 p.m. Great views from Mision Santa Rosalia.
