Hi my name is Delphine and I am originally from Switzerland. I have been living on Holbox for a couple of years and am running Mapache Hostel and a couple of other Airbnbs on the island. A passionate traveller and backpacker myself I have travelled around the world for all of my life. After my hospitality management studies in Switzerland I have finally settled in Mexico to fulfil my dream to show travellers the very best this island and magnificent country has to offer.

We proud ourselves on excellent customer service and to ensure that you feel welcomed from the moment you step into the hostel until you leave as a friend. We are a smaller, cozy hostel compared to other bigger party hostels. We offfer different accommodation for individual travellers needs. There are two mixed 6-bed dormitories with air conditioning, eight spacious tents with mattresses and fans covered by a huge palapa for rain and sun cover and our deluxe glamping option the Tipi huts with shared bathrooms. There are daily activities taking place to bring people together and to show you the best that Holbox has to offer. We are looking forward to welcoming you!
