I really wish we would stayed longer.
I really wish we would stayed longer. It is a paradise island. Clear and clean water, good sandy beach. Marine life is amazing and as for the snorkelling, I think it was one of the best I have ever had

We fell in love with the Perhentians.
We fell in love with the Perhentians. It was far better than we imagined. Long Beach was quiet during the day but had an atmosphere at night. Locals were friendly and welcoming. Fantastic snorkelling.

Perhentian Islands have beautiful beaches with rocky out...
Perhentian Islands have beautiful beaches with rocky out crops secluded bays and great snorkling. Super relaxed atmosphere, lots of yummy places to eat and drink and very friendly people. If you haven't got the energy to hike over the enormous hills to the other side of the Island you can always find a water taxi close by which are pretty cheap.
Probably would try and avoid the Islands in June and July if you don't like crowds and also try and avoid the little jelly fish that are around certain times of the year which can make you super itchy!!!

Perhentian is truly one of the best island here.
Perhentian is truly one of the best island here. Its not luxe but it is a gem.
The water is beautiful and the sea life is abundant. You can see hundred of fishes just from the jetty alone. Diving is great but take into account the weather.
Food takes a lot longer as its just the island way so you'll need to account for that if you're planning your meal.
Respect the culture and ppl and they will do the same. The cheap accommodation options are reflective of the price you pay.

Thin walls, could hear the neighbours.
Thin walls, could hear the neighbours. Make sure you specify the view you want. The view from my cabin was onto the back of the main restaurant/admin building. The restaurant food was very good and the staff efficient.

It is an amazing place!
It is an amazing place! The water is beautiful and there are lot’s of great beaches on both islands. You most try snorkeling in some areas. You can rent mask and snorkle everywhere on the islands, and even go for a boat tour that takes you to the best spots. You can also hire a taxi boat to go to any beaches, or travel between the 2 main islands in 10-15 rides.
We saw some poeple bring their own alcohol and water on the island, as it is always cheaper to bring your own. Sun block protection is very expensive on the island. Bring your own!

Chalet facing sea, nice place to calm your mind. In front chalet can snorkeling as the water as cleared as glass, you can enjoy the scenery with fish and coral. Near perkampungan nelayan and can have lunch and dinner at there with reasonable price. On the 2nd day only we aware we stay nearby the Perkampungan Nelayan 😅😅 can just take the snorkelling package from the chalet as the price same with other place. Thanks to the Abe Hamid, our boat driver that teach and show us how to see turtle and baby shark. Kudos to him
staff keep the place very clean and organized.
staff are super friendly and welcoming.
good ramly burgers.
a small shop on location with many snacks and necessities (prices are +25% more than mainland which is expected).
location is peaceful and perfect.
every beach there is swimmable and crystal clear.
a few good restaurants/bars next to the hotel.
rooms are equipped with sitcom and fan.
hot water gets really hot.
wifi works well only in common area, not in rooms.
The grandparents who checked in were very friendly and enthusiastic. Someone helped us carry our luggage and even upgraded our room for free. The room was very clean and tidy. The sea in front of the door is particularly beautiful, surrounded by bars and restaurants. The front desk of the hotel provides snorkeling, which is very cost-effective. There are 6 places , and the experience is particularly good. This kind of service and price are particularly suitable.
The location is on the top part of long beach just in front of the water. Next to cafés, stores, a bar (loud at night), water taxis and diving/snorkel centers.
The 3 upstairs room have incredible views of the beach and jungle shore.
Staff was nice, amenities were good for the standard of the islands.
Considering other places for similar price, OceanBoys Inn is a fair stay.
Good customer services, caring & welcoming (Kak Ila & Ayah Hassan). Live like local, explore local people lifestyle, culture, etc. Easy to access to everywhere at Perhentian Islands (Both Lesser Perhentian & Greater Perhentian). Delicious local food such as nasi dagang, nasi kerabu, keropok lekor, etc. Clean, comfortable & value for money accommodation.
Very nice beach and friendly staff, just the right place one needs for an amazing quiet seaside vacation. Nice scenery, warm sea, walkable distances from all the other hotels and island beaches. Staff people are very helpful and always nice to communicate with. Rooms are good and have all commodities.
Everything was good but pretty basic. Location was fabulous, can snorkel just off the beach in front of the hotel but be sure to bring beach shoes because there is a lot of dead coral on the beach. Their breakfast and menu items were good. Overall, we had a great time and would go back.
Er linked that the hotel is close to the beach. There is hot water in the shower and room service with fresh towels every day. We also had a balcony to hang out wet washing. The pick up from the boat is included, which is nice as there are no cars on the island.
The beach of the Perhentian Island resort (one of the most beautiful beach) is only few minutes by walk, you can snorkel with turtles and baby sharks from the beach.
The boat transfer to reach the hotel was nicely organized.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very close to the jetty and the beach in front of the hotel is so stunning. Additionally, there are lots of food stalls if u walk by along the beach.
Location is probably one of the best in Perhentian Besar, rooms are clean and everything functional. Make sure to visi Nia Cafe at the beach for mango lassi and roti canai, kak Za makes fresh roti daily.
great view but, no need to be at this hotel for the view.
it’s a true 2 star location. Long Beach is a place to book, I would strongly suggest Bubu on the same beach.
Staff are trying their best.
The hotel is in a great location, long beach is beautiful. It is just off the Jetty so you don’t need to drag bags through the sand. Lovely pool overlooking the sea.
The staff is incredible, they make you feel like at home. The beachfront location is really good and you can get to other beaches with the hotel's taxi service.
The hotel has its own spectacular private beach - the most beautiful of the island. The breakfast buffet was also pretty good and had a good selection of food.
