We are lucky enough to live in this gorgeous spot, in a one level house with masses of Windows and wonderful sea views. The gorgeous guest wing has its own separate access with contactless check in with lockbox., bathroom, kitchenette, opens to own deck, outdoor furniture and small BBQ. We live in the main house,attached, but guests have their own separate wing within the house. The house is very easy to live in and extremely sunny and warm. We are beachfront, so guests can just wander straight outside, across our flat lawn and swim safely out front. There is also a table and chairs right beside the beach for guest use. We my( partner Innes & I ) live in the house with our cat. My 2 adult children have both left home.
I am a 60 year old physiotherapist, however I am not practising any more, and enjoy my accommodation business , meeting lots of kiwis as well as interesting people from all over the world. I have travelled widely through Europe in my 20s and 30s.. I have strong network of family and friends in the neighbourhood, and feel privileged to live in the best part of Ohope beach, literally a paradise.
West end Road is a very quiet no exit St, so the room is very quiet, just the hum of the ocean. The beach is long and flat and sheltered, ideal for swimming and long walks. Five minutes walk away is the start of the Toi walkway, a beautiful 2 hour coastal walk over the hills finishing in Whakatane .5 min walk from house to lovely cafes, art Gallery restaurant .six minutes drive into Whakatane itself, and to golf course, boat ramp and fishing etc,
