Penzion Gabriela is family owned and operated and has a long term tradition serving its guests since in 1934. To provide maximum comfort for our guests, the Penzion was fully renovated and all rooms were refurnished in 2016/2017. Trends are changing, but the love towards the nature in High Tatras is inherited over the generations. As a third generation operating the Penzion, it feels satisfying to observe the little girl with a passion for hiking and nature grew up over the years to a grandmother, returning to our Penzion with her grandchildren. Penzion Gabriela resides at 899 m (2,950 feet) above sea level in a picturesque setting of Tatranska Strba. The penzion is well situated within the walking distance from electric cog railway station to Strbske Pleso and railway station - Strba with connections to Bratislava, Poprad and Kosice. The Penzion offers easy access to and from the highway D1, please take exit Strba/Strbske Pleso and continue via road 537 for 3 minutes - 1.6 km (1 mi) to Tatranska Strba. The rooms are located on the ground and first floor of the penzion. Each room is equipped with a king bed, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a mini-bar and a bathroom with shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. All guests have access to a well-equipped shared kitchen located on the ground floor and an infrared sauna located on the first floor. Penzion offers free parking in the gated backyard. All rooms and areas are non-smoking. Feel free to savor enchanting moments together with your family and friends having an afternoon tea, a game of chess, or a glass of wine in a shared living room. You can also enjoy a warm campfire in a backyard during summer nights.

The location of the Penzion in Tatranska Strba provides a great basecamp for many daytrips to High and Belianske Tatras, Slovak Paradise, cultural heritage in Kezmarok, Levoca, Spis and Poprad or famous caves (Demanovska, Vazecka, Belianska cave). The region further offers variety of activities including thermal hot springs in Vrbov, Besenova, Tatralandia and Aquapark Poprad, and numerous sports activities such as rafting, bike parks, climbing, skiing or snowboarding. Famous Strbske Pleso known for its alpine lake and breathtaking scenery is just minutes away on the electric cog railway. Strbske pleso is a starting point for many popular hikes to Popradske Pleso, Rysy, Hincove Plesa, Krivan, Skok waterfall or Hrebienok. Another popular destination is Tatranska Lomnica with a cable car to Lomnicky Stit. All year round, High Tatras has something to offer for everyone, it is a true untouched nature getaway.
