Fully furnished cosy retro apartment designed in 1970's Czechoslovak design is probably the most authentic place to stay in Brezno. Enjoy legendary Tesla Merkur TV, Tesla LP record player, retro board games and images/paintings of former communist Czechoslovak leaders. Kitchen and bathroom are modern, renovated, offering all the comfort and hygiene. Apartment is on ground floor, that allows easy access and visual contact with the neighbourhood.
Hello everybody. I am Brano and as a geographer I love mountains and other attractions of Central Slovakia, especially Horehronie region where Brezno is located. We run off-the-beaten-track tours in Bratislava and Kosice (Authentic Slovakia, Post Socialist City Tour). The idea behind this apartment was to offer a great basecamp for guests coming by public transport to Central Slovakia who would like to explore the region. I am more than happy to offer some good tips where to go!
Apartment is located in a green and calm neighbourhoodof Brezno, only 2 minutes walk from Hron river and 5 minutes walk from the bus and train station. Town centre is 10 minutes easy walk away. Sauna, swimming pool, minigolf, bowling, museum, pubs, restaurants, all is within walking distance from the apartment. Brezno is also great basecamp to explore to beauties of Central Slovakia - Low Tatras National Park (alpine peaks and meadows), Slovak Paradise National Park (gorges and waterfalls), Muranska Planina National Park (highland plateaux, caves and pastures). All accessible by public transport (bus, train) for 1-day trips.
