The staff are exceptional. They are intentional about hospitality, constantly checking if everything is okay and responding instantly to any requests I had. The resort was amazing and looked after to perfection. Nothing was to much trouble and absolutely everything was provided for. The beach was very safe and clean and the ocean clear and warm. Plenty of water sport activities to choose from and of course security around but not over facing. Perfection. It’s about an hour and a half to 2 hours from the airport. The beach was nice, smooth white sand, and nice clear water. The sellers on the beach are overly pushy and never leave you alone, and they just keep coming. One leaves the next comes. I haven't been to other beaches in Zanzibar, but I've heard Paje is a lot nicer than Nungwi. I visited Nungwi as I was interested in diving. I went diving with Spanish Dancers Dive Centre. They were great. Friendly staff, well-organized dive trips!!Guest review byAnushkaUnited Arab Emirates - 6.0
The beach is difficult to swim because of the jelly fishes...
The beach is difficult to swim because of the jelly fishes and there is a lot of boat close to the swim area. The vendors are very insistent and bugging. I really liked Hotel Riu Jambo.
I really liked Hotel Riu Jambo. There were lots of activities on! I really enjoyed the sports and stretch sessions in the morning with Hassan. The art with Edna was great too and I have to shout out Shamila with all the energy on the bars. The entertainment group were such great fun too, always creating a fun dance atmosphere. The hut restaurants were really good, we enjoyed dining at the bookable restaurants and the main restaurant had good options. Ahmed and team were so friendly and accommodating, they really put in a huge effort to ensure you have a good stay. Would particularly recommend the deluxe rooms as these were noticeably better and had a lovely chill out area with swing seats. Breakfast is different on each day of the week, more varied than anywhere else we've been in zanzibar. Very comfy sunbeds by the pool.
