yeremche is the "capital" of the Ukrainian Carpathians. So there are lots of facilities, restaurants etc. but it is quiet and relaxing too. The surrounding countryside and villages are lovely. The alpine trees are beautiful and the whole area has character.

If you want to go out from a big city and relax in the mountans, but you don't like hiking, this trip will suite you great. There are a ton of excursions for whatever you want: walking, cars, horses, quadrocycles. Short and long distant, expensive and economy: eveything is up to you.

Beautiful place. If you do not know Ukrainian you might be challenged, but getting a simcard with data, and google translate can get you far. Favourite experience was being invited inside and offered a glas by a local farm family, whose garden we just happen to stumble by. People were helpful in general in spite of the language barrier and the stereotypes. Made us feel very welcome.MariaDenmark - 10Scored 10

Yaremche is the center of the Karpatian Region. The mountains are beautiful. There are many day long excursions available. Bukovel ski resort, Monasteries, waterfalls, beautiful scenery. .There are many excellent restaurants available. We ate several times at the Kolyba Restaurant. The food was excellent.

Spent most of our time visiting relatives in Yaremche. We ate at many relatives homes but did find a wonderful pizza shop. Do not remember the name however. Getting around town was not an issue with us as my relatives were very attentive that we had the opportunity to travel throughout the city and surrounding areas. The churches in this area are beautiful and well worth exploring. Shopping is a wonderful experience as well and certainly the prices are more than reasonable.

Very friendly staff , pet friendly , breakfasts are delicious but maybe too similar. Could be more diverse , considering the abundance of amazing Ukrainian cuisine. The very big minus - the price , you can’t charge this huge amount of money in the country who are fighting an active and bloody war. Otherwise , all was very good.
