Historic Inn dating back to 1865 and expanded by George M. Brooks in 1908. Completely rebuilt and expanded in 2001 winning "Best Restoration" awards from local and state preservation groups. Lovely gardens with outdoor pool and hot tub (in season) on 8 acres just 1/2 mile past the town on Rt. 33. Hand carved mahogany furniture and high end linens, artwork and furnishings. Best swimming pool and hot tub in this area - surrounded by flower gardens. Almost a resort - NO RESORT FEES!
Retired from computer industry (16 years with HP) in the late 1990's to restore and open this B&B Inn. Remarried in 2008 and now three young daughters (11, 7 and 5). Avid sailor with many adventures sailing in the Chesapeake Bay, up to Nantucket and several weeks most winters in the Caribbean for the past 45 years. Now tending the gardens, certified pool operator and taking care of our guests.
St. Michaels is a charming colonial seaport on the Miles River which feeds into the Chesapeake Bay. Many restaurants and shops along with the Maritime Museum - all within a mile or so from our inn. Great area for bike riding and exploring the many cute little towns in Talbot County.
