Hate all the barricades around the WH and a few other areas.

Hate all the barricades around the WH and a few other areas. But we loved the ease ability for walking. We want 12 miles on New Year's Eve and that was basically between 5:00 p.m. and midnight.

Baltimore is a wonderful city.

Baltimore is a wonderful city. Too often, the challenges of the city are what's highlighted causing many people to miss the wonder. Baltimore is an energetic, creative, quirky city where anything is possible. The vibe is subtle pleasant semi-insanity while maintaining a homey, warm feeling at the same time. Come for the vibe, stay for the food, art, music scene, diversity, etc. etc!

I always love ocean city in the winter, no crowds.

I always love ocean city in the winter, no crowds. I used to live there, it was so nice going back. My stay was cut short due to weather. I really wanna go back. I know there's not a lot of stores open on the boardwalk this time of year but hey it's a seasonal town. I ate at the Denny's at the base of the 90 bridge that wasnt too bad. The pizza tugos in west OC had some good burgers. I suggest a stop at Happy Jack for breakfast yum.

National Harbor is a place where you can easily spend a quiet week visiting and detoxing yourself from the hustle and bustle of your daily life. The area has just enough to do where you can take a leisure stroll from your hotel and find numerous places to eat, drink and shop. And, if you truly find your need for a little fun and excitement it's a short distance away from the MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino. Taking an Uber from National Harbor to places such as the MGM or to Washington DC/Alexandria to sightsee and shop is very easy and convenient. Uber drivers are practically everywhere so you'll always have a way to get to where you're wanting to go. If you love smashburgers, check out BurgerFi in National Harbor. They've got delicious burgers and their onion rings and shakes are great! There are several hotel options all within the National Harbor area. So find the one that best meets you and your family's needs and get yourself there.

My daughter flew to Pittsburgh and our trip began with a two day stop in Lancaster before heading to Hagerstown. She was so delighted at how beautiful and well organized the visitors center was and how well staff it was with such knowledgeable individuals who are incredibly invested in their jobs as they share fascinating yet horrific stories of the loss of so many lives as mostly men fought to make the changes needed for this country to become the start of the nation that we know today. Actually seeing graves and fields so vividly described as they were transformed into mass murder scenes. We all left the area sad, yet so thankful to all of the men who fought and died for all of us. The area around the battlefields and memorials is easy to walk and full of interesting shops and beautiful scenery.

This property is dated and some places appear dilapidated?

This property is dated and some places appear dilapidated? Broken flooring, chaffed wood-work to name a few? Companies like "Booking.com" seem only interested in collecting revenue. These surveys are like 'window dressing,' a waste of customer time. They won't ever send their surveyors to check the facility in its entirety. Won’t participate in the future. Just so that you know even after couple of requests to provide charges for a 2 day vs. 3 day stay they could not provide one and ‘Booking.com’ most conveniently has yet to make amends.

Whether you like to explore the surrounding area or shop...

Whether you like to explore the surrounding area or shop downtown at the many beautiful stores. Antiques and history are within reach of this area. Try the restaurants. You can find plenty to do. Visit Baker park or a favorite of my grandkids I Made This, pottery paint store. Visit DC museums about 40 minutes away or Gettsyburg. Back after a long day swim in the indoor pool or go to movie theatre.
