I really liked the lady’s attitude at the check in desk. Earlier I stated that we’ll arrive approximately between 11-12 pm. But because of the stops we were running a bit late, and we arrived half an hour after the time given by us. She was extremely helpful even though it was pretty late and she answered all of our questions. She was very friendly. Our room was very well equiped. We even had an iron, which not many facilities have.

Fredrick is a great place for a stopover. We visited the miniature Road and Rail museum, it was fun. The father and sons who put it together spent much time and the detail is phenomenal Oscar’s Ale House was great food
Family friendly options as well as couples can enjoy this area. Even during this crazy environment we are all still trying to adjust to, the area provides so many options to explore and stay busy or just relax.
Carpet was stained and filthy. Lamp shades were all cracked. No USB ports to charge phones. Stains in the bed linins with cigarette holes burnt in them. Guests very loud and noisy starting up their loud trucks and hollowing back and forth at 6:00am
Frederick is one of our favorite towns to visit. We love the history, the abundance of healthy/vegan options, the places to run/walk/hike and the closeness to Harpers Ferry & Catoctin Mountain Park. Glory Doughnuts is a spot we return to every visit for their organic, vegan donuts, which usually sell out before 11am. Carrol Creek Park is a beautiful park to explore with a loop to run/walk.
Read about it, but need to visit on another trip..the river walk and old homes. Did go north of town to Catoctin Furnace (spelling?) and got out, walked the old furnace site, home site. Really enjoyed the history of both Revolutionary and Civil war times.
I will be back several times for medical reasons, BUT what a great welcoming Downtown. The atmosphere was especially magical as it was around Christmas, and the city blocks were lined with bright white lights that made me feel like a child! Friendly Frederick should be its nickname. I come from another small town with local charm, but downtown Frederick is much more accessible. It reminds me of Shockoe Bottom / Carytown in Richmond, Virginia. I am fortunate that my doctor resides in such a great town!!
