Continental breakfast was good, but I often needed a bit of protein to start my day. We loved the location, very private and excellent for relaxing since two of us were not 100%.

For most of our guest, what they love about our Inn is itʻs central town location but with a very quiet and rural setting. Our Inn sits on 37 acres. Although much of it is hillside and the always flowing Wailuku River, it offers a sense of solitude not usually available from the typical Maui visitor accomodations. Our central Maui location also means itʻs convenient to all the high visitor areas in West Maui and South Maui. Our Inn is actually our home and cottage we built in 2002 for our family. Our 2 children are now young adults making their mark on the world, one on Maui and the other in Washington DC.
Tamara is a Portland, Oregon girl who came to visit a college friend in 1973, met a local boy and never left (not too untypical). After 22 years with the County Parks Department, Tamara retired as Director in January of 2013. Bob still holds an active real estate license with a company he owns, Live Maui Real Estate, LLC. Both have been and are still active in the community in several areas.
We live in Iao Valley in Wailuku Town. Iao Valley is a culturally significant and sacred valley for the indigenous Hawaiian people. Besides going to Hana (East Maui) and Haleakala Crater, Iao Valley is on the next tier of natural sites most visitors seek. in the back of the valley is the Iao Valley State Park with its famous Iao Needle and Kepaniwai Park, which is a County park that showcases the various ethnic cultures of Hawaii. For us, our neighbors are few and far between, Wailku River offers a soothing vista during the day and a relaxing way to sleep.
