This was our second time staying at Hanscom’s and we LOVE it!! It’s super dog friendly, cozy, and has everything you need for a relaxing trip! If you stay here, make sure to take advantage of the grill, cornhole, propane fire and regular fire pit that has fire starters, wood and paper to make starting your fire super easy! We plan to make it an annual trip because we love it so much!

Deluxe king room was exactly what was advertised - with sitting areas, huge bed, fridge, microwave and separate space for clothes / luggage. Outside decked sitting area very pleasant. Complimentary tea / coffee with biscuits in Lobby area - very welcoming. Outside appearance does not do this property justice - very pleasantly surprised when we got to our room.

Although a few miles away from Bar Harbor, we were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and level of comfort at this out of town motel. Room prices in Bar Harbor, for even basic accommodation, can get ludicrously expensive, but Gallagher's Travels pricing offered way more value than most in town.

The one thing this area will not be noted for is their coffee. Bad to very bad in most places. A decent stop is Sugar Bakery. A Cash only establishment they draw a crowd. But, their food is tasty while their "dark roast" coffee would qualify as an acceptable medium roast. So, it's the best of the least. Don't go to Bar Harbor for Lobster. Go the other direction! Union River Lobster Pot isn't just great. It's incredibly good. Very welcoming Owner and staff. Local ingredients and excellent food. Don't go anywhere else. this is an awesome area to stay in and close to several areas of interest to see, like Acadia National Park, many lighthouses within 1-2 hours, and don't miss sunset at Cadillac Mountain!!! get there 1.5-2 hours before sunset!! Excellent location, 30 min from Acadia National Park, comfortable and clean location. Coffee and donuts in morning breakfast. Excellent value, true for the caption they had “ spend a night, not a fortune”. Overall, wonderful experience.

The rooms were large and clean with a comfy bed, table and chairs, large dressing area, fridge, microwave, etc. Lots of parking, very quiet, and located on the main highway to Acadia National Park.
