The attractions are a must. The cable car and Vin world are brilliant. We booked from Liby travel and I would recommend her. Grand world is also very good. Any public bus is free , we used number 17 bus which took us to Grand world and back approximately 45 minutes each way. The beach fronts belong to hotels and are for the hotel guests only.

Find a location by the beach or nearby, book only a few days before you arrive.
When you arrive negotiate the price for longer stay, by offering an advanced payment in cash you could get a much better cost rather than paying per day.
If you want secluded, romantic or relaxing holidays then you are in the right place, otherwise go somewhere else.
Don't expect much in terms of communication and hospitality from the locals, all they really care is your money, you will realize it when they have nothing to gain from you.

I think Vietnam has better things to offer.
I think Vietnam has better things to offer. The water was green and filthy and everything felt like a tourist trap. Avoid and do other things in Vietnam and for the beaches I recommend Thailand or Philippines

A lovely island for a honeymoon, the choice of resorts is amazing. The town itself not so sure about, a bit tacky party place from what we could see. The plastic pollution is really visible in some parts of the beach though.

Phu Quoc is not quite as well know as some of the other places to visit in Vietnam but please put in on your destinations.
Its the perfect place to end with resorts, theme parks, water parks and a growing tourist destination.
It was the perfect end to our 21 days in Vietnam.
We will go back just to experience the snorkelling, beach side bars and the parts of the Island we didn't get time to visit.
Highly recommend!

Nice beaches.
Nice beaches. Good destination for relax after traveling in Vietnam. More turist than in rest of the country, but not overtourism (we were there in end of April). Good for spend few days but not for authentic Vietnamese experiance.
For the second time being here with more expectations. We did not have so much time and stayed in different hotels and resorts in Phu Quoc to discover more. That’s why we only booked for 1 night ocean view room. The staff were very rude. No really pleasant welcoming, no welcome drinks, no asking and no explanation what we can discover here. No smiling and they were so rude to us. As a 5 star resort it was really like 2 star. The room was okay but not as good as years before. The beach was good. I will never comeback here again.
Toan, the hotel manager was always friendly and available for any questions, concerns and recommendations in the area. He accommodated our request to stay an additional two nights and let us keep our balcony room for the same price. The room was large enough, clean and quiet.
The balcony was lovely, and we enjoyed our morning coffee there each day. The hotel is set back off the main road and the beach is a 5 minute walk. Lots of local Vietnamese and international cuisine restaurants nearby.
It was right in the beach and had beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The resort very pretty and not crowded, and the food at the restaurant had reasonably-priced and tasty Vietnamese food.
The real winners were the staff, who did everything they could to make it a lovely stay. I was even upgraded for free upon arrival!
The view was truly stunning, and the atmosphere was peaceful and serene. It wasn’t crowded, and the pool overlooking the sea was beautiful.
Staying at mango beach was really a highlight during our travels through Vietnam! the resort is quiet and beautiful, food and drinks were great, and the service and staff were amazing! tony and his team really make sure you get everything you need for either spending a super relaxed time in the resort or for exploring the island. they put a lot of emphasis on sustainable tourism - and the fresh mangos you get there are the best :) highly recommended!
Very nice and new and cheap hotel in the town center, close to everything. Rooms are super clean and well furnished, the reception area is very well decorated in a typical Vietnamese modern style, and the coffee / bar on the rooftop is amazing with a breathtaking view on the Gulf of Thailand and the whole Phu Cuoc island. All staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money
An extremely clean, beautiful facility. Pool was excellent. The grounds were gorgeous and well maintained. The hotel was down a small road, ten min walk to the strip. Phu Quoc is a large island and this hotel is in a small part. My husband and I hired a guide and drove around the island. Very beautiful sights. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was nice too. Water was warm.
The good point of Emerald Bay hotel is the quirky luxury design by Bill Bensley, everything else is far from “the absolute jewel of luxury” as advertised by GM John Woolley at welcome brochure of the resort.
Another good point I want to mention was guest relation supervisor May I had chance to talk. She was really passionate about her job and had great communication skills.
I liked the beach and the pool at this hotel but that’s about it. The gym looked OK but I didn’t go in. Breakfast was good but didn’t get a chance to try the main restaurant as staff didn’t show us where it was and we got lost and so ate outside the hotel grounds. Certainly didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel, facilities, or service.
Lovely spot on the beach. We had a villa and private pool which was divine to wave up to the sounds of waves crashing against the shore. The spa has a lovely range of services. We went to the Treehouse restaurant outside of the hotel which was a short walk down the beach and up a quiet road. Very relaxing stay.
If staying in Phu Quoc I highly recommend this hotel for its great central location right in the centre of Duong Dong, which makes it easy to walk to the beach and the abundance of local restaurants and entertainment. The rooms are quiet and they are cleaned and serviced daily to a great standard.
We stayed 7 nights. I give the Phu Quoc Ocean Pearl Hotel very good star rating across the board: location near Duong Dong and near sea, 5 star for staff friendliness and helpfulness, cleanliness, cozy rooms, excellent sound insulation of rooms, and breakfast buffet. We fully enjoyed our stay.
The location, the facilities, the staff, the free yoga, free cocktails and the amazing breakfast! We were looking for a place to relax at the end of our trip in Vietnam, before going back to our country. After a long search, we found this perfect place! We highly recommend it to anyone
Very good localization, private beach next to the great beach bar, clean beach, great breakfast.
We visited 7 beached on the Phu Quoc and we agreed that our hotel's beach is the best.
Staff taking care about the clean on the beach and to deliver very good food. I recommend
The hotel perfect. I will be recommending this hotel, and next year my parents want already come 🥰
This hotel more like 5 stars. The breakfast is super, possibly find food for all people. Personal is very friendly.
The whole hotel was great. I literally can't say one bad word. Beautiful hotel on a beautiful beach in a great location with great stuff, pool and restaurants. The spa was a bit overpriced for Vietnam though.
Highly recommend this hotel if you want to visit Phu Quoc. They have very nice staff and clean rooms. I will stay here in the next time come to PQ island.
