It's Ghandi's House! It's a gorgeous property that is living history. You get to experience firsthand Ghandi's time in South Africa, and see the history that put him on the trajectory that defined his life. This is a wonderful place to stay -- comfortable, interesting, and beautiful. I'd come back anytime I need a place in Joburg. The neighborhood is safe. The hostess Promise is absolutely wonderful. She is full of great information and makes you feel instantly at home. She arranged a day outing to Soweto for us. This was a wonderful experience for our group of five.

Wonderful place in Johannesburg! The Gandhi’s house and museum is a must seen. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is good and healthy, and is served in the Gandhi’s house We had a massage for free upon our arrival.

Absolutely wonderful. One of my favourite places and most beautiful accommodation experiences I have ever had in all my years of extensive travel. To be able to stay in the very house where Ghandi lived and designed Satyagraha is extraordinary and deeply moving, an opportunity not to be missed. On top of this , it is beautiful, peaceful, exccedingly comfortable, and the staff are awesome, so kind, and go out of their way to make it a great experience for you. All staff were lovely, but special warm thanks to Kaniswa , and to John the caretaker and gardener, who do a wonderful job and are very kind. Tip: There are no restaurants particularly close, but Kaniswa very kindly helped me organise uber eats from a recommended restaurant, and it was lovely to eat onsite anyway. A lovely breakfast is provided.

La maison est magnifique réhabilitée et superbement entretenue. Le service intimiste est tout simplement 4 étoiles. Nous avons décidé de faire une expérience totale : nuit + dîner + massage + déjeuner + transfert aéroport = 10/10 c’était génial. Un grand merci aussi d’avoir proposé directement un late check out jusqu’à notre départ pour l’aéroport (16h) - c’est rare d’avoir cette spontaneite (qui colle à l’esprit de la maison).
