Amazing interior, super romantic place, clean and spacious, with excellent delicious breakfast, very attentive and friendly staff, even though we didn't speak Portuguese we could easily communicate. Valparaiso area is a wonderful location with everything you need in walking distance. We would highly recommend it!

Beautiful place, with large flowered gardens and tamed pets The building itself was made of all regional lumber, felt like an Alps setting 1 hour from Rio, a respite from the endless hassle. Petrópolis is a pretty, clean and a rich history of the Portuguese Empire presence in America. Cooler weather adds to the experience. My room was great, breakfast was plenty, but the highlight was their host's ongoing concern for my wellbeing over the three nights in the city.

Excellent location. A lot of charm and character. The staff is extremely friendly, courteous, and attentive. The shower was nice and warm with very good water pressure. The breakfast was simple but plentiful and tasty.

    I found my room very clean and organized, the inn is very beautiful and has high potential. Manager Joao was very helpful and courteous. The place is very peaceful and the other guests were very kind. highly recommended place
