We arrived late and had dinner in the pub/restaurant. The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

The staff were lovely Wendy is one of a kind, the rooms were lovely and couldn't here the traffic even the regulars were friendly the food was fantastic I had the Kirkcaldy burger with salad and potatoes skins. We were here to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday and have to say it was perfect. My wife was made to feel special from walking into the Ship to leaving 3 days later. Olly was amazing and even when we got drenched on a walk on the Saturday, we came back for a mulled wine and they’d sold out so he went off and had some made for us. Nothing was a problem. The breakfast and dinner staff were brilliant and just let us stay at the same table throughout our stay. The bar staff were also really nice and I was always asked if we’d had a good day and what did we get up to. I cannot fault the service and the food.
