Nice place and warm. BTW, you could get water and drinks in the lobby. Super!

But the true highlight is the owners. They're both incredibly warm, welcoming, helpful people with a genuine sense of hospitality. My stay has been made so much better thanks to their presence; aside from the fact that they're genuinely a joy to be around, they are a well of good advice about the city and its sights... And they won't leave you hanging if you encounter any difficulty. On the last night of my stay, I got myself in a situation where my rental bike got stuck in a closed parking lot; they offered to go and return it for me in the morning so that I wouldn't have to worry about it before leaving. They really did me a solid there! So, yeah, if you want to have the opportunity to interact with people who have a true sense of hospitality and community and are looking to hear about the city from the perspective of people who live there, you cannot go wrong with Kokonoe Michiya. Plus, it's close to what turned out to be my favorite part of the city; the northernmost areas.

They are super friendly and make your stay so special. The food that we were served was the best that we have eaten in our 3 weeks of traveling in Japan. As well as being very tasty they were keen to help you understand what we were eating and traditions behind it. It is just opposite the ferry terminal. Once the tourists had left the island we could wander the streets in peace and quiet and see the shrine beautifully lit at night. We would highly recommend staying g the night here rather than a day trip from Hiroshima.

Offering air-conditioned rooms in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto, situated between Kamogawa River and Takase canal, Hazuki Kyoto is 20 minutes stroll from Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Gion District. We had a perfect stay at Hazuki! The location was really nice, not too far from the main station and close to both the city centre and the old town! The Host was lovely and the room was big and comfortable. The floor heating under the beds was really nice, since the nights could get quite cold in March!

Pension Kitashirakawa là chỗ nghỉ 1 sao tọa lạc ở Kyoto, cách Đền Eikan-do Zenrin-ji 2.2 km và Shugakuin Imperial Villa 2.9 km. The staff had little English, but we both tried hard and good-naturedly, and successfully to communicate. The neighborhood was charming and not touristy. Very comfortable.
