I really enjoyed this place. The bed was comfortable and warm. The house had everything I needed. The owner was very attentive and the place was clean. I loved that they had bicycles for me to ride to the convenience store. It was a short walk to the beach. It was peaceful and surrounded by nature. I loved it so much. If I have the chance, I will definitely stay here again.

Her home is uniquely attached to her family’s temple, which she lovingly cares for, and the atmosphere reflects her warm, gentle spirit. The decor is impeccable—calm, cozy, and soothing—so it feels like the house itself is Manami: thoughtful and kind. Every detail has been considered: a comfortable tatami bedroom with soft, plush mattress and linens, a full kitchen, washer & dryer, and even a little mini-spa corner to unwind. There are two toilets (a rare convenience in Japan) and the location is great for exploring. Manami helped us rent e-bikes and gave us wonderful day-trip plans and cultural insights we would never have discovered on our own. Staying here felt like touching the true spirit of old Japan while enjoying modern comforts. For us, it was a dream place. If you value kindness, authenticity, and quiet beauty, book Oteragoto—you’ll feel Manami’s heart in every corner. She truly deserves all the guests who will love this place as much as we did. 10/10. We stayed in this accommodation for two nights and had a wonderful time there. Our host was very helpful, with insights on what to do on the island and great restaurants recommendations. She also helped us book the restaurants and experience the Hirauchi onsen not far away while being respectful of japanese traditions. The room was comfortable, clean, spacious and with a lot of light. The breakfast prepared by our host was delicious. There is also a washing machine and a dryer available for a small fee which was very convenient. The location is great to discover the island, especially the south (a car is needed)

Our family stayed here for 3 nights, apartment was clean and cosy. The hosts were sincere and responded very quickly when we needed help. Before we arrived, they helped us setup the futons on the tatami for our kids. The parking lot is also convenient, just by the entrance of the building. Just a little drawback, the elevator is up a flight of stairs, so the luggages need to be hauled up for a bit. Overall it was a pleasant stay, I would come back again!
