The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great. the pool / hot tub looked like they were nice too, but I arrived a bit too late to enjoy them.

Going riding is a pleasure as well, the horses are well schooled and the surroundings are beautiful. We will definitely go back there next time we're in the East Fjords.

This is a beautifully designed/decorated place. Although it is on the small side they have done an excellent job of making everything as comfortable as possible. Everything is well thought out and made for a comfortable 1 night stay. Loved the duck lamp!

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. A beautiful old hotel with modern amenities, and an excellent restaurant. A perfect place to relax on the lake!

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. The owners and the staff were so friendly. I can only recommend the hotel. Everything was also very clean. The food was really good and fresh. The breakfast was also good and a lot of choice. The thing I loved the most was the kindness of these people.
