The staff were just wonderful. Beautiful experience in a traditional ryokan with delicious food and a lovely setting. The public and private onsens were beautiful! Great spot for exploring Hakone and the surrounding region.

Sleeping on Tatami mats/futons or double bed. Fully equipped kitchen. Washing machine (but no dryer). We were made to feel welcome when arriving in the evening in November by a warm, lit-up house, so thoughtful.

The service was wonderful, the food was amazing (we gave them a hard time with us eating Kosher and no raw fish) - and there were so many dishes!! The presentation was stunning. The Onsen was fabulous!! The room was spacious and lovely, and the location is wonderful - a short bus ride to Ashi Lake! The bus stop is just by the Ryokan, and there was a Lawson with a 5 mineut walk. Loved every mineut!
