Hotel Ducs de Bourgogne, hotel in Paris

A 5-minute walk from The Louvre, this refined hotel offers air-conditioned rooms in the very centre of Paris. Notre Dame Cathedral is 1 km away.

It is an excellently located, well formed hotel, super close to Louvre, the river, metro stations…. I am went there with my younger daughter for mammy and me trip for 3days so the accessibility was very important, the room had a small balcony with a view to the famous department store, the room was small but clean and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly without being overwhelmingly so. Perfect hospitality I would say, We recommend this place highly.

Louvre Museum

Away from the adoring crowds that gather before the glass-encased-and-untouchable vision of the Mona Lisa, the Louvre stashes a veritable treasure trove of artistic gems. Corridors run above and below ground for such a distance that it would take you over 100 years to gaze at every masterpiece for just 30 seconds.

    Art feast. Great value.

Art feast. Great value. Unfortunately, there are no Chinese exhibits. There is a hard-to-find pavilion called "African, Asian, and American Art", but only a small amount of totem art from the South Pacific Islands. Is this a deliberate "cultural shielding"?

The Louvre Museum is a timeless treasure trove of art and...

The Louvre Museum is a timeless treasure trove of art and history, captivating visitors with its vast collection and iconic architecture. Home to thousands of works of art, including the famous Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo, the museum offers a journey through the ages, from ancient civilizations to the Renaissance and beyond. Stepping into the Louvre is like stepping into a world of beauty and wonder. Its grand halls and galleries are filled with masterpieces that have inspired artists and art lovers for centuries. Each piece tells a story, offering a glimpse into the minds and cultures of the past. Beyond its art collection, the Louvre's architecture is a work of art in itself. The stunning glass pyramid, designed by architect I.M. Pei, serves as a modern entrance to this ancient institution, symbolizing the museum's role as a bridge between the past and the present. A visit to the Louvre is not just a visit to a museum—it's a journey through time and a celebration of human creativity. It's a place where the wonders of the world come together, creating an unforgettable experience for all who enter its hallowed halls.

This museum is much bigger than I expected.

This museum is much bigger than I expected. There is so much to see here you could spend multiple days exploring it all. We got tickets for the second entry of the day, which was perfect. We were able to get up to the ropes at the Mona Lisa, did that first before all the crowds. That floor is almost impossible to get around later in the day. The 2nd floor had way less crowds and so many artifacts and art. Even the kids (12 & 14) were impressed by it all!

Don’t waste time and money eating at the sit down restaurant on the main floor. The food was overpriced and disgusting. Service was pleasant- but it was the first (and only) time a server asked if I wanted to leave a tip and asked how much of one I planning to leave. I like being able to add an amount to the paper receipt or touch screen without being asked to/amount. My husband and I spent most of the day here and we loved the extensive display of art. I would say follow a plan to see the masterpieces you’re interested in and enjoy the other pieces in between/on the way.

The Louvre Museum was definitely a bucket list item for me and I spent around four hours exploring and I still didn’t see everything. I definitely recommend purchasing your timed entry ticket online prior to your visit. Depending on the time of year, you may still have to wait in line but it goes by quickly (though the museum may still be busy inside as well).

A formula that works well. It's a lovely hotel room with a delicious restaurant, 30 meters away from the Crimée metro station. I went to Opera in 15 minutes, and to the Louvre Museum in 20 minutes. No point in booking an expensive hotel near the Opera, this is better.

It is very easy to reach the hotel, which is located in the center of Seint German. It is close to metro and bus stops, but if you are people who like to walk to most places, you may not even need it. 15 minutes walking distance from the Louvre museum. There is Carrefour right across from the hotel, you can get your needs there. There are luggage rooms to store your luggage before and after check-in, and you can also spend time in the hotel lobby after check-out. I would like to thank the friendly staff here

A modernised flat in an older smaller block of flats. A very well appointed kitchen with a good range of kitchen items including spices. Very useful for us as we like to have some home cooked meals with local ingredients during our stays. A great location only a few minutes walk to the Louvre museum, Metro stations, and local restaurants and cafes. We recommend the Aux Castelblangeois at 168 Rue Saint-Honoré, for the best baguettes we tried in Paris. A lovely wooden stair case adds to the charm.
