Do your homework and decide in advance what you want to see. Download maps of the museum and locate the areas you want to visit. The museum is HUGE and you will be exhausted after 2 hours having seen perhaps 1% of the offerings. It is a beautiful site to see the Louvre's dome when it is lighted at night. For those who are handicapped, the museum will provide you a small wheelchair that can access most areas of the museum. Also, handicapped visitors do not have to wait in line. However, BUY YOUR TICKET IN ADVANCE.
Unfortunately, the Louvre was so crowded that it was not worth the effort. We did pre-book an entry time but this did not help at all. Very unorganized. However, it was worth seeing the outside - the building is beautiful.
We come back from trip with colds and cough,we have slot for 10 am and we been there half hour before,as result they didnt open by 9 and we got in just by 11 am,once tickets are purchased, you cant modify it or cancel it,eventhough,Louvre is amazing.
Book ahead so you can skip the ticket queue! Under 18 is free, so it's fantastic to take kids--just make sure you've got ID for the older ones to prove their ages. The museum is incredibly vast, so decide what you want to see ahead of time and go straight to those exhibits.
Book it in advance to avoid long queues. Those headphones for audio guides are old and complicated. You spend time trying to make it work. So many people before Xmas day. Everything is very expensive in Paris
Visit the Louvre was an amazing experience. My suggestion is to book ahead (to avoid long queues) and once inside, visit the Mona Lisa last (see the sculptures and other levels first) to make the most of your experience. At the same time, allocate 3-4 hours of your day just exploring the Louvre.
Excellent location, it is near the metro station(Louvre) and just 8-10 mins walk to Louvre museum and Palais-Royal was just nearby. The staff especially in the reception were very accommodating, friendly, professional and helpful. Our rooms were cleaned daily. Moreover, there are a lot of good restaurants within the area. Highly recommended! I'll definitely check in here again if I'll be back in Paris.Merci beaucoup!
Location in 15th arrondissement/neighborhood is excellent. You can grab a bus and reach Louvre Museum, Eiffel Tower or Avenue Champs Elysee (Arch de Jubilee) in 30min from the corner of hotel. We didn't use Metro, but nearest stop is in 200m distance from the hotel and you can go everywhere. There are lot of restaurants, bistro's and other services nearby (distance less than 100m).
The staff was super friendly, many thanks to Roselie for making our stay comfortable. She is the best. This hotel is close to Eiffel Tower, you can reach there by walk in 10 minutes. Even Louvre museum is not so far away if one enjoys to walk for 40 minutes, one can take short breaks in between as there are many nice places in between and also a great view of Eiffel tower from distance.
The hotel was very new and clean. The design of the room was perfect. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions with care. The hotel is about 10 minutes' walk from the Louvre Museum and 40 minutes from the Eiffel tower. We did not have the opportunity to eat at the hotel, but there are many restaurants and cafes around. Thank you very much for everything.

Hotel location is excellent. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby. The station is also near. Above all, the Louvre Museum is nearby. Thank you.

Location was ok, 7-10 min walk to nearest metro stations. Close to Louvre museum and some restaurants. Clean room and clear instruction to get in.
Go to the Louvre on a Thursday, it's a lot quieter. Don't queue up at the pyramid; use the underground entrance next to the metro. If you're under 26, don't queue for a ticket, just show your passport at the entrance to the exhibitions
Choose hotels and restaurants that aren't "name-branded" chains. Explore side streets. Go to mass instead of just touring Notre Dame or Sacre Coeur. Visit the Louvre on Sunday when it is free to mingle with the locals. Take the metro instead of cabs. It's cheaper and can be part of the adventure if you live in a city without a subway.
Musee d'Orsay had an exhibition of Van Gogh's work which was amazing. I also really enjoyed Musee Rodin which has his sculptures displayed in the gardens which are worth a visit in their own right. The scent of roses was lovely. It is also great to watch the artists at work in the streets around Sacre Coeur Cathedral. The architecture of buildings in Paris is also really attractive and varied. And then there is the Louvre - really too much to take in on one visit.
Musee du Louvre is, in my opinion, the best starting place. Be prepared to spend a whole day there.
The Louvre and Musee D'Orsay for the major collections and The Orangery for Monet's Waterlillies for a taster of Impressionism.
If you pick your time it is not that busy. Definitely get onto a small group guide of the Louvre though
