From the moment we drove up we were in heaven. An idyllic setting. Beautiful landscaping, rolling hills, trees, horses, fountains; a lovely manorly house. Reception was exceptional. If you are staying in this area you must try to stay here. Only about 5 minute drive to Cancale, a lovely small oyster city!! Right on the waterfront.... Breakfast was also lovely.. An array of cheeses/meats/eggs/bread. Looking out on that fabulous landscape!

Stop and get a couple plates of the freshest oysters you will ever eat. When the tide is out it exposes a mile of oyster beds and you can see them go out and harvest oysters and also replenish the beds. The boats in the harbor sit in the mud when it is out. They warn people not to go out on the sand because when the tide comes in you better run. Huge tides here.

A long string of restaurants offering shell fish, fish and local cuisine, crêperies, as well as some souvenir and clothing shops, bars and even Italian ice cream shops. Very popular and crowded during French holiday weekends and the summer holidays. View of the Baie du Mont Saint Michel and the Mont itself across the bay.
