We enjoyed our stay here and were sad to only be staying for one night. The hotel is incredibly well located — walking distance from major attractions and great restaurants — and the staff are professional, attentive and friendly. The room was beautifully appointed and spacious. We especially liked the courtyard at the back of the hotel and the overall charm of the place.

Check the cathedral service times for free entry in order to avoid the disgusting (and high entry) fee. Places of worship should be free to enter with option of a donation rather than exploitative money grabbing. Rant over!

Guide books are very comprehensive but it's often best to discover a place and then read the guide book. Excellent staff/ volunteers in the Holburne Museum and Bath Abbey ensured a very enjoyable and informative visit.
