Amazing staff (Kate, Nektarios, George, Katerina, Julio, Kostas, Nasos, Daria, Vaggos, Stathis & Andreas) - extremely hospitable and helpful whenever required. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable throughout our entire stay. Incredible breakfast included, food is all made to order and there is an extremely wide selection of options. Very relaxing location, away from the noises and crowds of Oia and Thira, but still close enough to easily reach there for day trips.

We were in Santorini and we are really fortunate to have booked Mathios. We were really blown away by the great service, amazing food and the extremely friendly nature of the staff. Special mention to Mr Kostos who went out of the way to make our stay memorable by helping us book the best of best and most exquisite tours. He was so kind that he dropped us personally to the airport as a favor. Thank you Mr Kostos and Mathios team to make this trip really the best one until now.

The owner and all the staff were always polite, friendly, helpful and hospitable making sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Several good local restaurants worth trying but we also enjoyed a couple of good relaxing meals from the hotel bar restaurant around the pool.

Everything is perfect! It's located in Akrotiri which is a small tranquil village away from the busy city centre of Fira. It is within easy distance of Fira (around 25 minutes by bus from Fira bus station which we found to be frequent, cost: 2 euros) or a short drive if you have a car. The accommodation is very well located, just a few minutes walk to the village which is a traditional, beautiful greek village with restaurants, a supermarket, ATM available outside, and church, and a castle at the top. It is also within walking distance to the Caldera beach and you can walk to the red beach if you feel energetic or take a vehicle. The lighthouse which I think has the best sunsets on the island is around 4km (1hr10min walk or 10 minutes by vehicle). The property is immaculate, large rooms, very comfy beds and fluffy towels and well equipped with everything you need. Toiletries are provided including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap and body lotion and there is also a fridge and nespresso machine in the room. The room, bathroom, bedding and towels were all spotlessly clean. The design is very clever with different areas for different suites and there are lots of pools allocated to different sections and plenty of sun loungers so I had no problem finding a space. There are terraces all around the property which offer stunning views of the caldera. The staff are fantastic, I was warmly greeted by Giorgios and he showed me around and was super helpful and approachable. Having a vehicle can be useful here (lots of people rent the ATVs or cars) if you prefer to do less walking, but it is not essential. I would 100% definitely recommend this property and extended my stay (twice!) as it was so exceptional!

Stone is dark red - hence the beach sand is dark red. Beach is closed to due to falling rocks. A rough walk to get to. Up and over stones and on dirt pathways. If you have time visit, but wouldn't go back.

The apartment is beautiful, we really loved the jacuzzi in the night and the location was for us the best, because you are not in hurry like in Oia or bigger towns, so you can enjoy the chill. You can also have some good restaurations by walk from the apartment. For us the best was White beach where you can go by a boat from the red beach (10€ for two persons I think), but all the beaches are so close.

This was a wonderful hotel. My teenagers and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff was amazing - so welcoming and helpful. The room was beautiful, the view was stunning, and everything was clean and peaceful. It is also a plus that old Akrotiri and the Red Beach is within walking distance. Would definitely recommend Kokkinos Villas.

I liked very much of the location of Acrotiri. Much less crouds than in Oia or Perissa or some other places. Few restaurants nearby and fairly easy access from the airport too. Very nice seaside restaurants close to Red beach also. Santorini is very beautiful ireland. I suggest to explose by foot for people more, if you are able to. Use busses, those are cheap and service if fine too. This is nice hotel. Everything worked fine for us.

Late arrival for only 1 night but the view of the room was magic with the best private jacuzzi on the roof top of the hotel. Direct view of the caldera from the room and the jacuzzi. Beautifful hotel swimming pool. Nice employees at our late arrival and at the morning breakfast. Far feom the too touristics Oia and Fira but close to the Black and Réd beaches. Close to the old prehistoric city of Santorini.

Absolutely stunning location, Open your doors and you face the sea with bright sunlight from dawn to dusk. Only pain point is that the bus from Fira is at 9 pm which should be extended consideringh tourist season. This is not hotel's fault but the authorities of Santorini must look into it. Red beach, white beach and black beach is nearby and anyone can take the boat ride to it.

I liked the room with the hot tub and sea view at this hotel; it was truly an exceptional experience. However, it's important to note that the property is quite far from the Akrotiri bus stop, approximately a 55-minute drive, so having transportation arranged is recommended. The hotel is located about a 30-minute walk from both the black beach and the red beach, which makes exploring these areas convenient. The breakfast served was unique and delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed it during our stay.

The tranquility of the hotel - set by the village in Akratori. You can walk to the archeological site and red beach The pool is clean. I would recommend that the hotel consider putting an outside shower by the pool so that swimmers can use before entering the pool. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and had a variety of items on offer. The hotel was very clean and towels were changed daily. The rooms were airy and had pleasant terraces.
