Hïsom is an exceptional example of a business making positive change in a rural area. The hosts were wonderfully helpful and friendly, and the house was spacious and stunningly decorated, with a sophisticated traditional Japanese feel and all of the comforts of modernity. I was amazed by the attention to detail in the house, as everything was incredibly beautiful and comfortable (the staff even put fresh flowers in all of the rooms). After a short walk to Yunotsu, the UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site-village, we were pleasantly surprised to find many cute cafes and delicious local restaurants there. With the beach so close to the property, the location couldn't be any better (I wouldn't recommend trying to walk all the way there from the station though, and instead take a taxi).

This is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed at! The room is beautiful, very clean, smells great and has a great view of the water. The restaurant inside the hotel is delicious. The nature around the hotel is stunning and you are about a 10-minute walk from a very cute street with a few different hot spring options. I loved my stay here and honestly wish I had stayed 2 days instead of 1. Very relaxing hotel.
