Excellent stay. The hotel is very central to Mandalay Palace and the Capital Mall (good food). The staff were super helpful. The room was big, the water was very hot (like I like it), and the bed was really comfortable. I liked that I could cast my phone to the TV too.

Shwenandaw Monastery

This amazing building is also known as the Golden Palace Monastery, as it was once covered in gold leaf. But who needs it? The monastery looks supremely spectacular without it. An impossibly intricate roof is carved out of teak – and needs a close inspection to get to grips with its artistry.
