  This is an old facility with potential but we were frustrated by the services. We chose the hotel because it had a restaurant and bar however they were closed for remodeling. It would have been nice to know this in advance. Although there was a coffee service in the room, I needed a decaf "pod." I asked at Reception and was told that they did not have decaf and I should go to a nearby grocery store and buy my own pods. The last day the elevator was not working and we were on the 4th floor. My husband had to bring our luggage down 9 flights of stairs. The stairs were terrazzo and that morning they were being mopped by housekeeping - making them very slippery. Once our luggage was down, we discovered that the street outside the hotel was closed due to a local festival. We were told that we could drag our luggage down a cobble stone alleyway near the hotel to a taxi station. My husband asked the sole bellman (thankfully young) if he could help us. He did -- and he took us to the taxi stand. But no taxi drivers were willing to take us to the cruise port. So we paid the bellman to help us take our luggage all the way to the port. My tips: verify that the restaurant and bar are open. Make sure there is no festival during the time you plan to stay. Be prepared in case taxis are unwilling to take you to the port because the cruise port is about 5 blocks away - downhill and bumpy. Bring your own decaf "pods" if you prefer decaf coffee.
