A great hotel (second time I stayed there) very close to the UN headquarters. Lovely and polite staff, comfortable rooms, very nice common areas and amenities. Beautiful dining area and excellent breakfast too.

I stayed at Hotel 31 Extended Stay for a full month, and honestly, for the price, you simply won’t find anything comparable in New York—especially in Midtown. If you’re looking for a practical, well-located option without breaking the bank, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book here again. When I was first searching, I was honestly a bit concerned that, given the relatively low price, it might be unsafe or unreliable. But that impression disappeared as soon as I arrived. What really stood out to me was how functional and comfortable the room was for a longer stay. The bed was large and genuinely comfortable, which matters more than people think when you’re there for weeks. Towels were changed daily, and the toiletries were surprisingly high quality—definitely above what you’d expect at this price point. The room also had a medium-sized fridge with a freezer, which turned out to be incredibly useful and made day-to-day life much easier. There’s no microwave in the room, but with a Trader Joe’s just two blocks away offering plenty of ready-to-eat options at very reasonable prices, it really wasn’t an issue. There’s also a wash-and-fold laundry service just one block away, which made managing a month-long stay very convenient. When I first arrived, I was placed in a smaller room, but the staff made a real effort to accommodate me and moved me to a larger one the very next day. That’s the room I stayed in for the rest of the month, and I really appreciated that flexibility—especially since I had four pieces of luggage and needed space to unpack. More than anything, this hotel will stay in my memory because it’s where I first landed at the start of what will be a multi-year experience in New York. It gave me the time and peace of mind to look for a permanent place without stress.

It was quiet despite being in the centre of Times Square, comfy bed, good shower, great central location.

Position and kindness of the staff

The location was perfect, being only steps from bus stops and subway stations and an excellent supermarket a block and a half away (8th Avenue and W49th Street)

All the staff were kind & helpful, so happy & always greeting us when we were coming & going. The room was very clean & kept us warm at night. The complimentary refillable water bottle stations & gym were perfect additions to our trip! Within walking distance of everything!

Basic accommodation but very clean and good value for New York.Good location 15 to 20 mins to Times Square,15 mins to Macy’s.

Closer to the UN Headquarters!

Great hotel, very stylish, excellent location. The room is rather spacious, high ceiling. Complimentary water and beverages and snacks in the room.
