We have stayed in many places in nyc to visit our daughter who lives near NYU. This place is by far the best place closest to her. Others are either tiny rooms or desperately need to be updated.

Position. True New York boutique hotel. Comfortable beds and linen. Bar and restaurant. Staff

Everything. The attention to detail was exceptional & the team displayed outstanding customer service. The best example of this was on arrival by taxi, my card was rejected for payment & I didn't have sufficient cash. Doorman Jacob suddenly appeared & paid with his own money to settle the fair. Just incredible!

Great hotel in the heart of SoHo. Perfect location & great rooms.

We loved our stay at Orchard Street Hotel! The room was super clean and got freshened up every day, which was such a nice touch. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, and made everything easy. The views from both our room and the rooftop were amazing, exactly what we were hoping for. Plus, the location is perfect, right in the best neighborhood with tons to do nearby. Honestly, couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Thank you so much!!

Location was great. We would definitely stay here again and spend more time in Union Square area. We were in Times Square for two plays, so only spent a little time in the Union Square area. The room was very nice. The beds, and bedding, were comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.

The hotel is amazing - new one with a beautiful design. Located on Orchard street in one of the most vibrant, young neighborhoods in NY.

The location of the hotel is perfect! Only 14 min walk from Manhattan bridge, walk street and close to the ferry for Staten Island! Amazing value for the money. The rooms are well heated, which is great in winter! Clean and spacious! Bed is very comfortable! Our bathroom shower had a great pressure! The receptionists were kind and gave us plenty of tips of where to eat in China town and about the subway lines. Rooms are also sound insulated and one can rest well at the hotel.

The hotel is great, very welcoming, clean and comfortable. Great locations, actually amazing, very kind staff and awesome breakfast. The room was very very nice even if not with much space, bed are comfortable and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. Overall great experience because most of all we felt like home!

I stayed at Hotel 31 Extended Stay for a full month, and honestly, for the price, you simply won’t find anything comparable in New York—especially in Midtown. If you’re looking for a practical, well-located option without breaking the bank, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book here again. When I was first searching, I was honestly a bit concerned that, given the relatively low price, it might be unsafe or unreliable. But that impression disappeared as soon as I arrived. What really stood out to me was how functional and comfortable the room was for a longer stay. The bed was large and genuinely comfortable, which matters more than people think when you’re there for weeks. Towels were changed daily, and the toiletries were surprisingly high quality—definitely above what you’d expect at this price point. The room also had a medium-sized fridge with a freezer, which turned out to be incredibly useful and made day-to-day life much easier. There’s no microwave in the room, but with a Trader Joe’s just two blocks away offering plenty of ready-to-eat options at very reasonable prices, it really wasn’t an issue. There’s also a wash-and-fold laundry service just one block away, which made managing a month-long stay very convenient. When I first arrived, I was placed in a smaller room, but the staff made a real effort to accommodate me and moved me to a larger one the very next day. That’s the room I stayed in for the rest of the month, and I really appreciated that flexibility—especially since I had four pieces of luggage and needed space to unpack. More than anything, this hotel will stay in my memory because it’s where I first landed at the start of what will be a multi-year experience in New York. It gave me the time and peace of mind to look for a permanent place without stress.

The location was great! Easy walking distance from anywhere, good transportation links, the neighbourhood felt safe….

The location of the hotel is excellent, full of pubs, small restaurants, vintage shops etc. The rooms are a bit smaller, but they are nice and clean with big comfortable beds. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We stayed 6 nights in this hotel and we are very delighted with our stay. Beds are good, the room is clean as well the common areas. The bedroom for 3 is a little small but it's not a problem. The rooftop on the 7th floor is really nice. At -1 you will find a large cozy room where you can sitt and chill ir eat together (sofa, TV, fridge, microwave, etc.) The staff is so friendly too!! This is a great hotel in NY at a very affordable price ! PS: coming back next year :)

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property has a truly charming atmosphere and is exceptionally well maintained. Everything is carefully looked after, which creates a very pleasant and comfortable environment for guests. The staff are highly professional, attentive, and genuinely focused on guest satisfaction. A small situation perfectly illustrated this: one day I asked about drinking straws and was told they were not available at the moment. The very next day, however, they were already placed next to the juice station. This is a great example of truly listening to and responding to guests’ needs. The only small thing I missed in the room was a kettle, which would have made the stay even more comfortable. Special greetings and thanks to Marta, who contributed to making my stay even more enjoyable.
