The service was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating — from the doormen and managers to the housekeeping team. The complimentary continental breakfast each morning and the free cocktail hour was such a unique touch.

Wonderful hotel, staff, rooms and location. Close to many subway stations and not only in SoHo, but walking distance to Tribeca, Greenwich Village and West Village.

Modern hotel right at the outskirts of Soho with a very amicable staff although very busy all the time. The zone is rather quiet and safe with metro stations nearby. The room is somewhat small but confortable and clean. Didn’t have breakfast in the hotel so no comment about this.

Right beside a metro station and close to a lot restaurants. Walking distance to many touristic attractions. Room was clean and comfortable.

Very well decorated hotel, spacious rooms. We booked 2 rooms with a family of 4 and stayed 9 nights. Close to several metro lines. Nice restaurants and shopping area around the corner. Will def book this hotel again when visiting NYC! Thanks for our pleasant stay!

Overall it was very clean good location and comfortable bed and room. Staff was friendly could approach guests a bit more in seating area. Our room was freshened up and tidied everyday to same standard.

We were extremely happy with our stay here. The staff was very kind and helpful. They let us drop off our luggage before and after our stay, and brought us extra bedsheets on request. The room was spacious enough to store all our luggage and still have room to move around; all the facilities were clean and comfortable. The view from our room was also great. The location is unbeatable, close to bus & subway, and it's pretty easy to reach most places in manhattan/brooklyn within an hour max. There's plenty of bodegas and restaurants nearby where you can have a delicious meal for 5-10$. The area is also very safe, I felt comfortable walking around on my own as a woman, even in the evening. The hotel is also family owned and operated, so a great choice instead of supporting a chain. All in all nothing to complain about and great value for your money!

We had a great stay in the hotel. The front desk employees were very nice and very helpful. The room was a good size however there were four of us and four suitcases but no problem since we only were at the hotel to sleep. Location was good, lots of places nearby to eat and a short walk to the subway. Some people might not feel totally comfortable walking around when it is dark but me and my three kids did it every night when we came home. Beds are very comfortable. Good shower. AC worked well. Quiet in the rooms. Definitely recommended.

The property itself is very ideally located, close enough to downtown manhattan and also easily accessible to both Brooklyn and Midtown by Subway. Besides that you are basically near China town and also not that far from Little Italy. Also another thing that made our stay even better were the staff, they were incredibly helpful and friendly, we truly felt cared for, but I do have to give a special thanks to Sharonda and Luli who work at the front desk for being the friendliest faces we got to meet during our stay.

when we first arrived being honest the room we booked in January wasn't what we got when we arrived in December but after a honest chat with the receptionist we were able to change to the room we booked, which was exactly what we wanted, the staff were super friendly and helpful, definitely recommend to book a taxi to the airport with reception because we paid the same amount as a city taxi from the airport 96 dollars, our room was always warm, always with hot running water for the shower and the fridge and microwave came in use too for storing muffins which can be bought from the store over the road *beans and coffee* alongside there nice coffee and sandwiches, the location is super central and worked well for us 18 minutes by subway which is at the end of the street to the left as you leave with no changes needed 2.90 per trip. we will be back again next year at the same time in the same place, sure there are luxurious hotels in Manhattan it goes without saying but from someone who's stayed at the empire twice before and was never in the room I found this hotel to be more worthwhile, its warm has a soft bed, hot shower, and all the things I've said above if you want luxury and room service book the empire or the like, if you wanna see the sights and spend the extra 2~3 thousand dollars on food shopping and clothes and plan to be out 16 hours a day like us book the 309 Robert millikin
