I may be the wrong person to comment because I never went however I was told by many people to stay away and do not get off at this station when taking the metro. You go past it when your going to the Bronx. Apparently it is very dangerous. The city as all tourist cities do only put money where the tourist go and where the rich people live, you see this when passing Yankee Stadium and when your in the Bronx. If the city would put money into these subdivisions people would have more pride, hope and things to look forward.
Extremely tight and busy. Located in a rough looking neighborhood. Thought that the home of the NY Mets, Citi Field, was much more fan friendly. At Yankee Stadium, I had to wait in line for everything. Not so at Citi Field.
do try this, approx $25 in taxi fromtimes square, once there the atmosphere was fab, pre-book before you go otherwise cheap seats will be sold out - be warned it may take a long toime to find your seats the stadium is massive!!
Bring warm clothing for early season games.if at Penn station walk to sixth Ave and take d train to Bronx and Yankees. Should get a seat. Fans are abrasive but part of the charm . Rest of new York friendly.
Great experience. Attended the Yankees v Orioles games and it was amazing. Get your tickets online before you go. Great view and amenities are out of this world. $15 for a beer though is a bit steep. Go Yankees!!
Go early! The security checks can cause long queues - the game was well underway by the time we actually got inside (Redsox v Yankees so a sell out crowd). Its a great venue with fantastic history and atmosphere, a must-do in NYC if you are lucky enough to be there in baseball season.
