Pablo was the best host we’ve had in all our trip to Chile, and indeed certainly among the best we’ve ever had in our many travels. Great recommendations on what to see and where to go, excellent dinners, perfect service. It’s hard to imagine how a host could be better. The place itself has one of the best views of the lake, and the rooms, while small, are very comfortable and well-designed.

Surrounded by a lush garden, Mallin Colorado Ecolodge offers wooden cottages overlooking General Carrera Lake. Incredible location, nice (and warm) communal areas and fantstic food each night prepared by chef Venecia. Portions are huge so easy to share meals/starters/mains. On the property itself there’s an incredibly rewarding hike with some of the best views we had on our trip (but you need to walk all the way to the end!). Staff are delightful - a special mention for Belén who is the sweetest!

Patagonia is a luxurious mountain lodge set against the panoramic backdrop of the snow-capped Andes. It offers 4 exclusive suites with free Wi-Fi and balconies with views of Coyhaique Valley. Very quiet and green location, the breakfast and restaurant is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I like their story. They just bought the property a year ago and are fixing it up...and doing an amazing job. Nice to see. The place was quiet and had a rustic charm to it. Breakfast was superb. Luis, the owner, was kind enough to make a special tea for our road trip as I wasn't feeling well. Great hospitality.
