One has to get the water from the hole in the frozen river few meters from the sauna. It's a bare bones wilderness cabin experience yet very cozy and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and answer all your questions. There is a wood fireplace in the cabin and the wood is provided. The huskies are nearby. They howl when the Aurora's are out.

The hosts are super helpful and are ready to assist you during your stay. All essentials are there, everything that you may need. I loved their attention to details: there are spare batteries, nice pot to cook poronkäristys, and even cinnamon for rice porridge. Another aspect: we were happy we booked a final cleaning (and I recommend it to other guests), it saves you time and worries in the morning of check-out.

Cabin is COZY and warm, self-sufficient other than the shower which is on a separate building just a few short steps away. Go for a walk in the woods in the dark!
