Saxon Lodge a bed & breakfast in Gansbaai, which is known as the ideal location for shark cage diving and whale watching. My stay at Saxon Lodge was fantastic! The location offers beautiful ocean views and is just a 5-minute drive from the shark cage diving launch site, making it perfect for anyone doing the diving. The lodge is cozy, well-maintained, and has a peaceful atmosphere. The hosts were welcoming and provided excellent local recommendations. A perfect spot for anyone visiting Gansbaai—highly recommended!

This place feels like paradise. The mountain range, the vineyards, the well kept premises, the owners/family, dogs, cats and food are all wonderful. We had the Strelitzia house which has everything you may ever need. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, but more importantly the place feels homey and historical. The veranda was our favourite spot day and night. Sharon, the host is very friendly and helpful. She thinks along with you and has great tips. She is available, but not intrusive. We love this place and are looking forward to returning one day.

This is the perfect spot for an off-the-beaten-track, close-to-nature experience. The accommodation in glamping tents is very comfortable and each tent has an amazing view of valleys and mountains. We loved the small finishing touches in the tent. The shared kitchen and BBQ area are very well equiped. A real highlight of our stay was the walk through the indigenous forest and neighbouring nature reserve. Our hosts, Hilary and Andrew, could not have been more welcoming or informative!
