Each room and chalet at Garden Route Game Lodge offers either views of the mountains or the valley. They are elegantly decorated with thatched roofs and wooden furniture. All of them have TVs with digital channels and a safe. Nice clean rooms, beautiful poolarea and a super nice pool bar, very good dinner and breakfast and service was great. The safari was really nice as well as the guide. If you are looking for safari in the Cape Town area this was definitely worth the drive. We went to Aquila Game park the week after and Garden route game lodge was much nicer.

Riverside Guest Lodge offers panoramic views of Grobbelaars River and Swartberg Mountains. It offers air-conditioned rooms and wooden cottages. There is a main deck with a splash pool, a bar, and a barbecue. People working there were really nice, the hotel is a cosy place in a central but quiet locztion in Oudtsoorn

I decided I will to come back (to Cederberg Wilderness and Mount Ceder) and stay overnight. On the weekend it's often fully booked but during the week easy to book accommodation. This for included great dinner and breakfast. The cabins are very spacious and are fully equipped should you opt for self-catering. Spotless clean. Should you need to connect to the outside world: there's wifi in the main building or you can hike up to Hondverbrand, one of the local short hikes, where you have mobile phone reception.

Arabella Country Estate is 5.9 km from the lodge, while Mt Hebron Nature Reserve is 12 km from the property. Cape Town International Airport is 93 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Clean, with all you need in self catering. They even supplied us with 2 bags of wood for the braai that is situated outside. Quiet and peaceful. Just what was needed for a good night's rest before hitting the road.
