I stayed in this hotel for five days in January 2023. For visiting ancient temples in this part of Tamilnadu, Kumbakonam is a good central point for stay and many temples in Kumbakonam, Tanjavur and the area around can be seen during day trips. Thirumalai Homestay provided a good option for staying at affordable costs. The rooms are neat and clean. All arrangements for transportation are taken care of. Home cooked delicious food is served. A homely atmosphere can be felt. Overall it has been a comfortable stay and served my purpose.

The place is so beautiful, cottages among the trees, we can easily see peacocks and squirels, birds. Very quite place. Swimming pool is beautiful too. Massages were perfect and food delicious. Everything was fantastic. Temples are less than 25 min drive from the hotel.

The flower market, veg market and small teashops are in the adjacent road. The restaurant in the hotel is good for meals and filter coffee. The vegetables during meals are an interesting variation everyday with three varieties served everyday. Special mention to Mr Suresh of the restaurant, who is kind and professional. At the hotel, Mr Rajaram deserves special mention for his professionalism and polite behaviour.
