Lodgings in Cortona

The location is excellent, just where the old town starts. The parking was easily accessible with escalators. The view from the terrace is magnificent.The staff was friendly. The room was clean and convenient.

The breakfast was not huge. But it had cereals and Steven made us fried eggs and omelette to order, which was good enough for us. Adding some fruits would have been nice. The rooms are large, spotless with a large bathroom. A lot of thoughtful amenities like slippers, heated floors in the bathroom, fridge with complimentary drinks etc. Short distance from Cortona so lots of restaurants and shops.

Excellent location, complete amenities, clean, spacious and nicely decorated! The final word is for the owner who welcomed us warmly and showed great patience despite our delayed arrival! Thank you!

Brilliant location in a quiet back alley very close to the two main Piazzas in Cortona. Lovely old but modernized building. Lovely hostess who kept everything smart and clean and supplied a delicious breakfast every morning. Definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay in this lovely medieval city.

The view from the hostel was out of a movie. It was absolutely gorgeous and the windows opened adding to the view. The staff was so helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Couldn't recommend a hostel more!

Wonderful hotel with incredible views of the countryside. Lovely outdoor spaces to relax in, enjoy a cocktail, sit by the pool and even a little hidden playground for the children. Amazing breakfast and dinner. Great location to visit the beautiful surroundings and villages. Would gladly return and highly recommend a stay here

Great crew. Silvia, the owner, was amazing and explained us everything we needed to know about the area and even suggested to pick us from old city at night in case we wouldn’t find taxi. 10/10, very recommended!

Very nice place with a good breakfast. Be aware it's a climb up from..outside the walls.

The room and private bathroom were clean, attractive and comfortable. The private bathroom was very well equipped and the whole room/bathroom were of high quality. Services provided were well above expectations. An in-room kitchenette was provided, as were breakfast food and beverages. The entire property is very attractive, well equipped, very well managed and provides excellent value. The host was very helpful and attentive, making the stay a pleasure.

The room was fabulous with a nice size bathroom. Nice quiet area a little out of the way of the main attractions, the bathroom was generous for Italy.

We stayed at Il Falconiere Relais & Spa as a family of five, two parents and our three sons, for five wonderful days, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. The property is simply breathtaking. Every corner is beautifully designed, meticulously maintained, and aesthetically perfect. It is immediately apparent how much thought, care, and attention to detail have gone into both the architecture and the surroundings. This is Tuscany exactly as you imagine it from books and films: peaceful and serene, surrounded by endless greenery beneath beautiful blue skies. From time to time, the sound of the nearby church bells drifts through the air, while the picturesque town of Cortona crowns the landscape and creates an almost magical setting. The spa is wonderfully indulgent, and the breakfast is outstanding: varied, fresh, delicious, and served in the elegant setting of the Michelin-starred restaurant. Even the chickens wandering freely around the property somehow add to its unique and authentic Tuscan charm. The staff deserve special mention. They are exceptional: warm, professional, courteous, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their positive attitude and excellent service made us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. And, of course, do not miss the Michelin-starred restaurant. The Michelin star is absolutely well deserved. The food, atmosphere, service, and setting combine to create a truly memorable dining experience. We also highly recommend trying the restaurant's local wine, which perfectly complements the cuisine and the Tuscan atmosphere. During our stay, we used Il Falconiere as the perfect base for exploring the surrounding region, taking daily trips to Cortona, Lake Trasimeno, Pienza, and many other beautiful places throughout Tuscany. Returning to the peaceful elegance of the property each evening was always a pleasure. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place full of history! Loved it!

This is an absolutely lovely property! The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the outdoor pool and patios are perfect for sitting out and enjoying a glass of wine and the bucolic view. The room was very large and comfortable. The big delicious breakfast was a real treat as you can get eggs cooked to order - something we had missed in our travels around Italy! The owner, Antonella, is charming and wants to make sure you have everything you need and are comfortable. We only stayed two nights while we explored that part of Tuscany but it would be a perfect place for a longer, relaxed stay.

Extremely nice and hands on staff. Location right in the heart of town, beautiful, authentic hotel with very stylefully decorated rooms. Great breakfast and just an overall very pleasant stay, what a gem.
