Lodgings in Atami

The 4 day 3 night package that I paid for has far exceeded my expectations. The facilities are exceptional and the Japanese dinners offered at Masson Restaurant were superb. An unlimited access to spa facilities at both Ocean and Horizon is highed commended. I was even allowed to take western buffet breakfast at Ocean Tower when requested. This is the best Japanese onsen vacation by value and experience among the over half dozen I took in other tourist hot spot. Have recommended this hotel and its package to many friends and associates worldwide.

Your staff Mr. Wang is very professional and friendly in answering our questions and provides suggestions. And the breakfast is excellent. The view is great!

Stayed here 1 night just to catch the ferry to izu oshima in the morning. Was a solid place. No complaints. it was clean. Quiet. Nice place. Good area. A little tough to find the first time. But once you know its not bad. No complaints.

I feel like everything was perfect, the Oriental style room was large and comfortable with an amazing view, the buffet for dinner and breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices, the staff is very cordial and always helpful, the onsen was amazing and generally everything was just right. Seeing Atami from the top of the hill was breathtaking.

The staff are super kind and helpful, which made our trip even more special. The room is actually bigger than I expected, so we are so happy about that!

The hotel was in a good location The staff was excellent even though there were language barriers we were able to figure out how to communicate. It's an older building but it has a lot of charm and our room was massive and we had our own private hot bath which was excellent.

Onsen is the best and great room! Very beautiful

The room, hotel, and baths were all clean and well maintained. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. While the drinks and snacks in the lobby weren't important, they were such a pleasant, thoughtful surprise that it helped set the tone of a great stay.

Room was comfortable and spacious-- we loved the futon setup and tatami. Private baths were excellent to go to with our young children and easy to get as there were 5 of them-- it was helpful for one of the baths to have separate tubs so the children could add some cold water to make the bath less hot. if a private bath wasn't available, the public bath was excellent as well. Location was great-- within walking distance from two train stations in Atami, though people with many bags or mobility issues may need to take a taxi. The hotel provided a helpful and affordable luggage forwarding option to the station on our checkout day so we were able to explore Atami freely after checkout. We did not choose a package with meals but would like to try next time if we are able to come again!

The physical location is very convenient, just down the hill from the train station, and next to a laundromat and 7-11 and up the road from the shopping/restaurants. My room was on the 4th floor which was a bit of a climb but the view out to the water was nice. The traditional room was very comfortable and clean as well, and the tub was great. But the very best thing about this property was the staff. I only met the daughter once, but the older lady who ran the place and served breakfast was SO sweet and kind. Every time she saw me she gave me cookies and water, and though she spoke next to no English, and I spoke next to no Japanese, we had a really lovely conversation over breakfast. She’s very attentive and had some wonderful recommendations on restaurants and things to do, and even where to find a specific souvenir. I would come back to Atami just to see her again.

I like the friendliness of the staff. They were proactive and reached out to me and were super friendly and helpful versus rigid like at other accommodations.
